Edit the portfolio deliberately.
Choose projects that represent the work you want to attract. Lead with a complete view, then add details that explain materials, layout or constraints. A smaller selection with clear context is often easier to evaluate than a large unstructured image wall.
Explain your role and process.
State whether you provided full interior design, styling, procurement or another defined service. Credit collaborators where appropriate. Describe how a project moves from an initial brief through decisions and delivery without promising a universal timeline.
Keep imagery fast and useful.
Use responsive image sizes, meaningful alternative text and stable image dimensions. Avoid loading original-resolution files for every thumbnail. Mobile crops should preserve the subject, and drawings or detailed images may need an alternative presentation rather than an aggressive crop.
Make the next step feel proportionate.
An initial enquiry can ask for property type, location and the intended scope. Visitors may not know all the answers yet. Offer direct contact alongside the form and explain what the first discussion is for. Link portfolio pages to the service that delivered the work.
